Alexander Restaurant at Pädaste occupies the most prominent space on the ground floor of the Manor House. This elegantly proportioned room, with its soaring ceilings, opens onto a spectacular winter garden & offers sweeping views over the estate’s ancient parkland.

 

Recognised for its culinary excellence, Alexander Restaurant was awarded with three forks by Falstaff, & in 2024 received an impressive 95 points, securing its position as the No.3 restaurant in Estoniathe highest-ranked restaurant outside Tallinn.

 

For the third consecutive year, Michelin Guide 2024 has included Alexander Restaurant in its prestigious selection, highlighting its culinary excellence – a true celebration of life & flavour on Muhu Island, where every dish reflects the harmony of nature & the essence of Nordic Islands’ Cuisine.

 

The restaurant’s consistent quality has also been acknowledged by La Liste, which has included Alexander among the selection of the world’s top 1,000 restaurants each year from 2021 to 2025, affirming its international acclaim. 

 

Alexander Restaurant also led the Nordic White Guide as the Best Restaurant in Estonia for several years, earning a coveted “Masters Level” classification — reserved for the very best in Nordic dining.

Communal Chef’s Table at Alexander Restaurant
For culinary adventurers seeking unique experiences, Alexander Restaurant at Pädaste Manor invites you to the communal Chef’s Table — an intimate dining occasion centred around our signature Islands’ Degustation Menu. Held in the elegant Grand Hall, the communal table welcomes up to 14 guests each evening, from Wednesday to Sunday.

This extraordinary experience is personally hosted by Chef de Cuisine Achim Braitsch. Together with his team, Chef Braitsch guides guests on a carefully curated culinary journey, where each course tells a story of the islands’ rich & nuanced flavours. It’s a setting that encourages conversation, shared discovery, & connection among like-minded food enthusiasts.

 

The Islands’ Degustation Menu is the pride of our kitchen, embodying what the Italians call cucina d’autore—a true expression of culinary artistry. The menu evolves gradually with the seasons, reflecting the availability of the finest local produce & the creative inspiration of our team.

 

In addition to the Chef’s Table experience, Alexander Restaurant also offers a four-course Table d’Hôte menu. Rooted in Nordic Islands’ Cuisine, this menu changes daily, showcasing the best of our region’s flavors.

 

We promise a memorable evening filled with great food, engaging company, & a touch of magic in the air.

Dinner at the Chef’s Table begins at 19:00 & typically lasts until 23:00. Reservations are required, with seating available per individual guest.

 

 

Private Dining Table

Alexander Restaurant offers exclusive private dining experiences in the winter garden for you to savor the exquisite cuisine of Chef de Cuisine Achim Braitsch. At these private tables, you can enjoy either the daily changing four-course Table d’Hôte menu or the Islands’ Degustation menu.

 

Embark on an Expedition in Search of the Nordic Islands’ Cuisine for a truly unique culinary experience. Reservations for the daily changing four-course menu can be made for seating between 19:00 & 21:30, while the Islands’ Degustation menu can be booked between 19:00 & 19:30.

 

Dinner at Alexander Restaurant unfolds over approximately four hours & is certain to be one of the most memorable highlights of your stay.

 

 

Lunch

is served at the Pädaste Yacht Club during the high summer months, or in the winter garden of Alexander Restaurant during the spring & autumn seasons.

 

For lunch at Alexander Restaurant, we offer the choice of a two-course or three-course Table d’Hote menu. This is a chef’s daily selection that changes seasonally, highlighting & making maximum use of the freshest local ingredients. 

Prices are €59 for the two-course menu & €67 for the three-course menu per guest. To enhance your dining experience, we recommend a wine pairing expertly curated by our maître d’, designed to complement the chef’s menu. Alternatively, you may choose from our extensive wine list. 

 

At Pädaste Yacht Club, we serve relaxed, casual cuisine for lunch, offering a delightful contrast to the refined Nordic Islands’ Cuisine featured at Alexander Restaurant in the evening. Unpretentious & focused on simplicity, the Yacht Club provides a laid-back lunch experience with stunning views of the manor & sea, evoking the charm of Southern Europe.

Selections of dishes & drinks are available on-site.

Reservations are kindly required and can be made by contacting us at info@padaste.ee or by calling +372 45 48 800. Reservations for a Private Dining Table may also be made through our website.

We recommend booking in advance with credit card details as a guarantee. Please note that once your reservation is confirmed, it is considered final & will be charged in the event of a no-show.

 

At Alexander Restaurant, we take pride in crafting an exceptional menu each day, guided by the finest ingredients available. To accommodate any dietary requirements, we kindly ask that you inform us at least 24 hours in advance—we’ll be happy to provide suitable alternatives.

 

Reservations

  • Lunch is served between 13:00 & 15:00, with the last kitchen order at 14:30.

  • The Chef’s Table experience requires reservation at least 24 hours in advance, secured with credit card details. Please note that once confirmed, your booking is final & will be charged in the event of a no-show.

  • Private Dining Tables for the daily changing four-course Table d’Hôte menu are available between 19:00 & 21:30, with the last kitchen order at 21:30.

  • Private Dining Tables for the Islands’ Degustation Menu are available between 19:00 & 19:30.

  • Dinner at the communal Chef’s Table begins promptly at 19:00.
